It will be a busy couple of days in Galion city government. While Mayor Tom O’Leary is scheduled to have a news conference this morning, Galion City Council will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday.

O’Leary’s press conference is scheduled for 10 o’clock this morning when he is expected to discuss the Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) and whether there were under or over charges over the last 10 years. He will also be providing an update on the 2015 Prairie State costs.

Last week proponents of a ballot initiative to force refunds of what they call overpayments by Galion electric consumers held a town hall meeting.

Galion City Council’s legislative agenda includes first readings for five ordinances and a resolution for a Then and Now item. The proposed ordinances include one detailing monthly reports and responsibility; a check writing ordinance; petty cash and change policy; demolition deposit requirement amendment; and one on collection policy.
