Mary Lou Morehart, 95, of Galion passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at Mill Creek Nursing Center in Galion.
Born July 5, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of William Joseph and Elizabeth (Mumbower) Brennan. She married Walter G. Morehart on October 31, 1969 and he preceded her on August 1, 1997.
She worked as a supervisor at Swan Rubber in Bucyrus for 23 years. Mary Lou was a member of the Community Christian Church in Galion where she was active in the Care and Share Group, the Women’s Guild, the Arts and Crafts Club and volunteered in the food pantry and the church blood drive. She was a past member of the VFW Post 1078 Auxiliary and Women of the Moose both in Bucyrus.
Mary Lou is survived by a son, Larry Michael “Mike” (Beth) Oborn of Meridian, daughter, Lana Oborn Landon of Galion; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Roger Landon; grandson, Todd Everly, a brother and a sister.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2022 at Oakwood Cemetery in Bucyrus with Rev. Dr. Daniel Turner officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Christian Church or the Humane Society Serving Crawford County in care of the funeral home.
