John Edward Fletcher, 58, of Nevada, passed peacefully at home following a recent battle with Leukemia.

He was born February 13, 1964 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Charles E. and Vivian G. (Smith) Fletcher On March 6, 1999, he married Dawn K. Myers and she survives. John worked various jobs and had lastly enjoyed working at Carle’s.

John enjoyed time spent with family and whether a cookout or a Thanksgiving gathering, they shared many laughs. He made the best handmade noodles, pepperoni rolls and when it came to baking, John mastered some amazing creations. He liked fishing, spent countless hours tending to his fruits and vegetables and could make up moves to any song, as he always loved to dance.

In addition Dawn, his wife of 23 years, John will be deeply missed by his eight children, Misty (Willy) Perry and their four children, Destiny, Dakota, Tyler and Alexis; Michael Fletcher and his two children, Olivia and Ethan; Jonathon Fletcher and his son, Daymon; Nicole (Carl) Hardyman and their three children, Connor, Hunter and Ryder; Branden (Cheyenne) Fletcher and their five children, Ella, Kensley, Paxton, Kaelynn and Bostyn; Sean (Ari) Fletcher and their daughter, Zarabeth; and Kristen Fletcher and Somer Fletcher. Also surviving are numerous siblings and other extended family members.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Kinder and his father and mother-in-law, John and Patricia Myers.

John’s family will gather with friends from 12 – 1 pm on Saturday, September 17 at St. John’s UCC where a celebration of life service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Gary Schiefer officiating.
