BUCYRUS — Amber Christy started her volleyball coaching tenure at Bucyrus High School with a bang.
In Christy’s first contest at the helm, her Lady Redmen swept Vanlue in three games, 25-11, 25-18, 25-22.
It marked the first time in at least nine years that Bucyrus began a volleyball season with a win.
Cambria Wolff led the Redmen with four aces. Kelcie Clayton was 15 of 16 serving with two aces. She was 27 of 30 hitting with seven kills, had on solo block, with seven digs.
Emma Tyrell was 12 of 13 serving with two aces. She was 31 of 37 hitting with 15 kills, two solo blocks, two assisted blocks, and 15 digs.
Addy Ricker was 12 of 12 serving with two aces and 17 assists.
Bucyrus returns to the court Tuesday at Marion Harding.
