Olivia “Liz” Mollencopf, 80, of Galion passed away Saturday morning, July 23, 2022 at her home surrounded by family and special caregiver, Colleen. She had battled cancer for the past year.
She was born February 17, 1942 in Lorain, Ohio and was the daughter of Oliver and Florence (Shoemaker) Bush. Olivia is survived by her husband of 56 years, Floyd Mollencopf whom she married on September 5, 1965.
She graduated from Ashland High School in 1960 and worked for a short time for Sprint in Mansfield. Liz was an active member of Windfall Emanuel United Church of Christ where she served on the church board and was President of the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed working in the yard and caring for her flowers.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Lori Brooks of Toledo; son, Brett (Colleen) Mollencopf of Tiro; three grandchildren, MaKayla (Jerome) Anderson, Kelly Mollecopf and Max Mollencopf; a great-grandchild, Maelynn Rollison and a sister, Sylvia Zimmerman of Mansfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorsey Sweeney and Gloria Pinkley and a brother, Dick Bush.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 26 with Reverends Loyd and Dreama Caudill officiating. Burial will be in Windfall Cemetery, Galion at a later date.
