ASHLAND—Travis Scott, 48, of Bucyrus, was electrocuted while operating a grain truck on Township Rd. 1806.
The Ashland County Sheriff’s office released this statement:
Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, Lt. Don Sims said, “Around 9:56 am, Ashland County dispatch received a call in reference to an electrocution.
Ashland County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 1,000 block of Twp. Rd. 1806, in reference to the report.”
“Upon arrival, deputies were advised that the male victim was electrocuted while operating a grain truck near the roadway, when a grain shoot, attached to the truck, was inadvertently maneuvered into the electric wires,” Lt. Sims Continued.
Ashland County Deputies, Hayesville squad members, and the City of Ashland’s Emergency squad arrived and attempted CPR on the victim.
Lt. Sims concluded, “It is with regret, we advise that the male victim did not survive his injuries. The Ashland County Coroner’s Office was notified, and will take over the investigation.”
