The following area athletes have qualified for the Division III Ohio State Track and Field meet this week in Columbus. It is held on Friday and Saturday at Jesse Owens Stadium on the Ohio State University campus.

Individuals or relay teams qualified by finishing in the top four of their events at the regional meets. Following are the placers, school and time or distance in the regionals.

Division III

Girls 100-meter dash

2. Katie Ruffener, Colonel Crawford, 12.62.

Ruffener was edged by Kenna Stimmel of Margaretta, who clocked in at 12.48 seconds.

Girls 100-meter hurdles

1. Katie Ruffener, Colonel Crawford, 14.30.

Placing second was Shelby Grover of Lucas in 14.93.

Girls 300-meter hurdles

2. Katie Ruffener, Colonel Crawford, 44.32.

Grover narrowly won with a time of 44.31.

Girls 4X400 meter relay

4. Colonel Crawford, 4:06.56. Team of Rylee Ritzhaupt, Gabby Roston, Mira Holt, Lynae McKibben.

Girls long jump

3. Katie Ruffener, Colonel Crawford, 16 feet, 9 and 1/2 inches.

Girls high jump

1. Liv Krassow, Colonel Crawford, 5 feet, 6 inches.

2. Niyah Shipman, Colonel Crawford, 5 feet, inches.

Girls pole vault

3. Gabby Roston, Colonel Crawford, 11 feet.

2. Julia Feik, Colonel Crawford, 39 feet, 3/4 inches.

1. Zaiden Fry, Mohawk, 14 feet, 8 inches.

3. Kyle Hoepf, Seneca East, 13 feet, 8 inches.

Boys 110-meter hurdles

4. Trevor Vogt, Colonel Crawford, 15.76.

Boys 300-meter hurdles

4. Trevor Vogt, Colonel Crawford, 41.42.

Boys 4X100 meter relay

1. Colonel Crawford, 43.92. Team comprised of Jacob Awbrey, Carter Valentine, Caulen Spangler, Ethan Holt.

Boys 4X100 meter relay

3. Seneca East, 44.25. Team of Jesse Beckman, Korbin Beamer, Taylor Young, Dylan Young.

Others competing, but not qualifying:

Bucyrus’ Emma Tyrrell was fifth in the 100-meter dash (13.13 seconds) and Wynford’s Chloe Kaple sixth (13.42), both just missing a spot in the state meet.

Kaple also placed sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:00.53.

Girls 4X100 relay: Colonel Crawford placed sixth in 51.34 and Bucyrus eighth, 53.74.

Girls 4X800 relay: Colonel Crawford finished fifth in 1:09.32.

Girls 1600 meters: Lily Schiefer, Seneca East ran a 5:14.59, good enough for fifth place.

Girls 800 meters: Lady Eagles Cecelia Chase ran a 2:25.74, good enough for ninth place. Her teammate Olivia Hardy was 16th.
