Gas prices in Ohio are down to start the new work week. The state’s average price for a gallon of regular gas was $2.60 in Monday’s survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc.
That’s down 16 cents from a week ago. It’s more than a quarter cheaper than last month at this time, and 65 cents less than a year ago.
As of this morning, prices in Bucyrus were $2.41 per gallon and $2.42 in Galion. But in Toledo motorists could buy a gallon of gas for $2.25.
Industry analysts expect the price of gas to continue to drop while retail prices catch up to and reflect the drop in prices for crude oil.
