The Jim Grandy Tennis Invitational to be held this Saturday and is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. However, due to potential weather early Saturday, the start may be delayed to 11 a.m.
The invitational will take place on the Bucyrus Community Courts located north of the Bucyrus Secondary Building on Redmen Way.
This year’s participants are Upper Sandusky, River Valley, Ontario, Shelby, Galion, Clear Fork, and Bucyrus. Since there are only seven teams this year, the highest seed in each bracket will get a bye.
The invitational recognizes the contributions of Jim Grandy who was a Bucyrus teacher and long-time tennis coach for the varsity tennis program. This year will mark the tenth edition of the tournament.
