BASCOM — Congratulations to the 2022 OHSBCA District 6 Basketball Scholarship recipients, seniors Karmyn Blizzard of Bucyrus High School and Ried Jury of Hopewell-Loudon High School.
Both Karmyn and Ried define student-athlete leaders. Both seniors participate in a myriad of both extra and co-curricular activities. Each student athlete is a sports team captain as well as an officer in several clubs while still excelling in the classroom as both Karmyn and Ried are at the top of the class at Bucyrus and Hopewell-Loudon High Schools, respectively.
Blizzard, the daughter of Steve and Lisa Blizzard, plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in psychology and then attain a doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Jury, the son of Roger and Jenni Jury, will be attending Defiance College to study education and playing collegiate basketball. Ried was also recently named Academic All-Ohio and All-Ohio in basketball.
