TIFFIN—On Thursday, Tiffin Police arrested Kevin L. Wilson, 65, from Tiffin.
According to information released by Tiffin Police Chief David W. Pauly, Wilson was arrested after a two-week investigation. He was involved in a text/chat with an undercover detective posing as a 15-year-old girl. Wilson made arrangements to meet with what he thought was the teenage female to have a sexual encounter.
He is currently being held at the Seneca County Jail, facing charges of Importuning and Attempted Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a minor.
Further charges are possible after searches of Wilson’s residence, where detectives seized electronics. This investigation was led by Detective Eric England, who, according to Pauly, worked tirelessly to gather evidence to get Wilson off the street and away from minors.
England was assisted by officers from the Tiffin Police Department, the Fostoria Police Department, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, and the Seneca County Drug Task Force.
Crawford County Now will continue to cover this developing story.
