Sharon L. Peoples, 77, of Galion passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.
Born October 20, 1944 in Galion, she was the daughter of Walter and Margery (Thomas) Kerr. She was previously married to Lester A. Dewalt and Dwight Peoples.
Sharon was a graduate of Iberia High School in 1962 and worked as a Registered Animal Health Technician for Dr. Epperson and Horizon Animal Hospital both in Galion and lastly the Hull Veterinary Hospital in Mansfield. She loved animals, especially her cats, watching birds on her feeder and spotting for Eagles nests. She loved her grandchildren and also enjoyed traveling with her longtime companion Jerry Yetter who preceded her in death.
She is survived by three children, Melissa (Dave) Baker of Galion, Lester D (Karen) Dewalt of Cartersville, GA. And Eric (Laura) Peoples of Crestline; six grandchildren, Taylor Craft, Brandon (Sara) Peoples, Emily Baker, Maxwell (Abby) Baker, Lester H. Dewalt and Jamie Dewalt; three great-grandchildren and one expected; sister, Joan Burke of New Jersey and sister-in-law, Virginia Kerr of Mineral City.
In addition to her parents and longtime companion Jerry Yetter, she is also preceded in death by, brother, David Kerr and sister, Darlene Wilson.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
