Berms, parks, and lot splits were all part and parcel of the Nevada Village Council meeting on Monday.
During the business portion of that meeting approved a lot split for 306 West South Street. That property is owned by Bob Brandt who requested the split. Council members also made their appreciation known for several things going on in the village.
“We would like to thank the Village people that voted for our renewal levy this past November,” council member Diane Morgan said. “Also, we had Pioneer students came over and did fall cleaning for us, painted in the bathrooms down at the park, did quite a bit of work down at the park. (They) did a very good job, appreciate them being here.”
Morgan said all the paving and berm work had been completed in the village. She singled out Roger Jury for thanks for the use of his truck on the berm work portion of the street maintenance project. She also warned residents that burning trash is an EPA violation and they could be subject to a fine from the EPA if caught and cited.
Village Council discussed the use of trail cameras at the compost site to control the usage there. Council member Richard Aubrey emphasized that the Village Park is now closed for the season and the facilities there are off limits to the public during the offseason.
