The Mansfield Kiwanis Club’s annual Lip Sync Comedy Show is back and is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, at 7:00 pm at the Ontario Middle School auditorium. This hysterical and heart-warming stage show is jam-packed with creative lip sync acts by area businesses and individuals all coming together to raise money for needy children in Richland County. This year’s main sponsors are CenturyLink, Brethren Care Village, and Avita Health System.

“We have over 60 cast members on stage this year,” comments Kelby King, the show’s Creator and Director. Among the organizations on stage will be Richland Bank, Brethren Care Village, Visiting Nurse Association, My Town Partners, Madison Key Club, and Richland NewHope. Dozens of local individuals will be performing alongside these organizations as well.

“We’re excited about our judge’s panel this year, which consists of Bob Maxey (Haring Realty), Andy Daniels (Avita Health System), Gary Utt (Richland County Commissioner), Bill Sharp (Richland Area Chamber of Commerce), and Randy Hutchinson (Mayor of Ontario),” comments King. “These judges will have a hard job picking the top acts as they watch groups such as Richland Bank, who is performing a Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys battle.” New this year will be the Ontario High School Marching Band Drill Team who are backing up one musical number, as well as Miss Ontario, Lauren Beard, who will be dancing behind the comedy of another act. Eric Parr, who is emceeing next to Kelby King, will be entertaining the audience with several popular Will Farrell characters, including Elf and Ron Burgandy. “Eric’s stage presence has always been a draw and is quite entertaining,” comments Clayton Herold, Mansfield Kiwanis President.

Approximately 600 people attend the show each year and the Kiwanis Club expects another great showing.

Kiwanis organizes a variety of events throughout each year in order to raise money for children and local organizations that benefit children. Kiwanis is also very instrumental in providing the funds for children who cannot afford educational opportunities, such as summer camps or special trips.

Tickets to this year’s Kiwanis Lip Sync Comedy show are $5.00 and will be available at the door.

“I am amazed at all the local support this family-fun show has had over the years. A lip sync show is definitely not something you see every day,” comments King. “That’s why I created it.”
