Jason Lee Carroll, 50 of Crestline, passed away on January 28, 2022. He was born to Carl L. Carroll and Barbara Ann (Schreck) Queen on August 5, 1971 in Crestline, Ohio.
Jason was a 1989 graduate of Crestline High School and attended Victory Rock Church of Galion. He was an avid sports fan and loved following the Dallas Cowboys and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Jason followed the players and knew their backstories as he continued to watch the games multiple times over to keep up with their stats. Jason was a passionate outdoorsman and loved coon hunting and deer hunting and in the off seasons you could find him riding his four-wheeler and enjoying derby cars. Jason loved to help and take care of others and always had everyone’s back. Being a wonderful cook, he loved sharing his meals especially with his entire family together, playing with the kids was his favorite thing to do.
In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by his stepmom, Lori Oehlhof; his three children; Kalyn A. Carroll, Galion, Lillian G. Barker, Shelby, and Braxton L. Carroll of Crestline; brothers and sister, Kristie (Scott) Carroll-Young, Mooresville, NC, Marcus Hefner, Galion, C.J. Carroll, Crestline and Corey Seyfors, Ontario; six nieces and nephews, Reagan Young, Kinsley Young, Morgan Young, Beau Hefner, Haleigh Hefner and Aria Seyfors and many very special friends and family.
Jason was preceded by his special significant other, Tara Painter, mother of his youngest, Braxton; step father, Rick Queen; maternal grandparents Bus and Vivian Schreck and paternal grandparents, Rollen and Ruth Carroll.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Jericho House of Bucyrus.
Friends may call on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 12:00 P.M. at Victory Rock Church, 1700 Fairview Rd., Galion, OH 44833 with Pastor Danny Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Bucyrus. In honor of Jason, the family is requesting everyone to wear Dallas Cowboys or OSU attire.
