Thomas Gerald Crokie
Thomas G. Crokie 81, born and raised in Bucyrus, Ohio; retired at Henderson, Nevada and formally of Gering, Nebraska passed at his home December 9th, 2021. Tom (Croak) as he went by graduated Bucyrus High School and attended Scottsbluff Junior College on a football scholarship in the 1960’s; graduated with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education Chadron State College. Taught in the School District of Gering, McKinley, Geil, and head teacher at Cedar Canyon School K through 8th grade. He had a love of football especially the Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and the Cornhuskers (by default). He was a member of the National Guard Military, Member of the Scottsbluff Elks lodge, dealt in rental property, established and sold TC’s Mini Market and Car Wash on south Kimball Ave still in operation and served two terms for the Gering City Council.
He is survived by daughter Laura Crokie Boni, (Doug), grandchildren Bridget and Benjamin of Mansfield, MA. Brothers David Crokie and Stephen Crokie of Crestline, Ohio. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Stephen Crokie, Delores Crokie and Ethel Crokie.
Cremation was held in Henderson, Nevada. Condolences may be sent to daughter Laura, at 520 Fruit Street, Mansfield, MA 02048
