Susie Chapman, 78, of Galion passed Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Signature HealthCARE of Galion.
Born October 4, 1943 in Galion, she was the daughter of Earl and Dorothy (Hall) Brown. After many years together, she married Fred Chapman on October 4, 2004 and he preceded her on April 10, 2005.
She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1964 and attended Grace Point in Galion. Susie retired from HiStat Stoneridge after 22 years as an assembler. She liked watching soap operas, shopping and collecting angels. Susie was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and enjoyed listening to Elvis.
She is survived by daughter Lora (Jenny Taylor) Teggart of Ontario; grandsons Liam and Tegan Teggart of Ontario; sisters Shirley (Roger) Fissell of Galion and Ruby Novella Hobson of North Baltimore; brother Romie Steve (Karen) Brown of Papillion, Nebraska, brother-in-law Charles Hedges of Galion and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister Betty Hedges and brothers Casto and Bobby Brown.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2002 at Grace Point, 683 Portland Way North, Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. January 18 with Rev. Paul Walter officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Kindred Hospice in care of the funeral home.
