BUCYRUS—A community to community donation drive organized by two Bucyrus women is hoping to help the victims in the Mayfield, Kentucky area as they struggle to rebuild after a devastating tornado.

Deb Pinion and Wanda Sharrock have been giving back to our community for many years. Next Wednesday, with donations from all around Crawford County, they will be delivering supplies to the Graves County Fairgrounds near Mayfield, Kentucky, for distribution.

The collection of items will be held on Monday, December 27th, and Tuesday, December 28th, from 7:30 am-5:30 pm. There are two designated drop-off points located in the parking lot at Ohio Auto 321 West Mansfield Street, and the parking lot at the Bucyrus Nazarene Church on State Route 4. There will be signs indicating where items can be dropped off. There will be no donations of food during this event. All items except coats and tools must be new.

Items needed include:

Sturdy totes, heavy-duty zip ties, large tarps, all size batteries, wrecking bars, crowbars, heavy-duty chlorine wipes, heavy duct tape, rakes, hammers, nails, screws, phone chargers, pet food, baby supplies, new clothes all sizes (for men, women, and children) blankets, underwear, socks of all sizes, freshly laundered coats, pillows, air mattresses, duct tape, all kinds of cleaning supplies including mops and brooms. Paper plates, napkins, paper towels, plastic forks, knives, spoons, and cups. All items must be new. Gift Cards to Walmart and Krogers can also be donated.

The truck full of donated items will be delivered to Kentucky on Wednesday.
