BUCYRUS — Bucyrus High School is hosting an 18-team bowling invitational Saturday at Suburban Lanes.

Participating schools include Bucyrus, Mansfield Senior, Shelby, Ridgedale, Mt. Gilead, Galion, Marion Harding, Crestline, Tiffin Columbian, Liberty-Benton, Clyde, Cardington, Elgin, Pleasant, Fostoria, Northmor, River Valley, and Wynford.

There are two separate team divisions, boys and girls, in the tournament format. Five bowlers per team, with a team roster limit of seven bowlers.

All teams will bowl three regular games followed by six bakers.  All games will be bowled on the same pair of lanes. Total pins from the three regular games and six bakers will determine the champion.

Team trophies will be awarded to each division champion and runner-up. The top three individual boy and girl bowlers will be awarded medals. A bowler must bowl all three full games to be eligible, no substitution.

Tournament Timeline:

8:30 – Doors open and team check-in

9:00 – Coaches’ Meeting

9:15 – Practice

9:25 – Team introduction and National Anthem

9:30 – Boys’ tournament begins

1:00 – Girls’ tournament begins

The girls’ tournament will start as soon as boys’ awards are presented and the lanes are conditioned, approximately 1 p.m.

Teams and coaches are to enter the side door by the side parking lot. Spectators will use the main entrance. Ticket price is $5 per person.
