Charles L. Benedict Sr., 64 of Bucyrus passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Galion Community Hospital. Charles was born April 1, 1957, in Crestline, OH to the late Samuel S. Benedict Sr. and Elizabeth (Shaw) Benedict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Norman, Ronald, Samuel Jr., and Jeffrey, as well as sisters Christine Price, Becky Benedict, and Sherry Duffner.
Charles is survived by his longtime fiancé Linda Meyers, children Charles Benedict Jr., Branden Benedict, Penny Benedict, and Misty Carroll all of Bucyrus; grandchildren Cameron, Aden, Paxton, Bentley, Trever, Seth, Reyna, Issac, Ashton, Dominique, Lucus, Logan, Tequila, Jacob, Junior, and Hannah; numerous great-grandchildren; brother Guy Allen Benedict of Texas; sisters Beverly Swihart of Mansfield and Julie Wiggins of Bucyrus as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles last worked as a grain feed hauler for 10 years as well as working with cattle. Charles spent 11 years in the army national guard. He lived his entire life in this area and enjoyed fishing, music, and watching wrestling.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made through the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home.
