CRAWFORD COUNTY—Today at 5:17 AM, The Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a single-vehicle, rollover crash on SR 100 north of Parcher Rd. Deputies along with Whetstone Twp. Fire Department and Portsmouth Ambulance Service responded to the scene.

Deputies found a 2007 gray Nissan car overturned in a field, northeast from the roadway. The driver had been ejected and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Asst. County Coroner.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the Nissan was northbound on SR 100 and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The driver brought the car back on the roadway and overcorrected, going off the Northeast side of the roadway. The vehicle struck the ditch and rolled over, ejecting the driver, and coming to rest on its top.

Oceola Garage towed the vehicle from the scene. The name of the deceased is not being released at this time until the family can be notified. This crash remains under investigation.
