BUCYRUS—An unidentified woman who was standing in front of Kroger’s screaming for help on Monday has recanted her allegations of sexual assault. According to Bucyrus Police Captain Tom Walker, the case is closed since the alleged victim recanted her claims.
News of the assault quickly raised concerns about an ongoing threat to the community. Even though police could not release sensitive information regarding the assault, they believed this was an isolated incident that posed no threat to the community.
