MANSFIELD—Certified Art Instructor and Therapist, Jacy Warrick, will be introducing several new and returning art workshops during the upcoming semester at Richland Academy.
The Teen Self-Esteem Workshop is meant to give teens an avenue through which they can express themselves while creating a unique self-portrait. This class for ages 11-17 will run on Wednesdays from 5:00-6:00 pm.
A new Narrative Walking Stick Workshop is being introduced this fall at Richland Academy. Students in this class will be using walking sticks as the base to create a depiction of one’s life story by using paints, ribbons, cloth, and various other media to decorate the walking stick with a timeline. This workshop is for ages 16+ and will run on October 9, 2021, from 10:00-3:00 pm.
Also coming to Richland Academy is a Collage Workshop, where students will be guided through the process of creating a collage from start to finish. Students will use mixed mediums to create their collage to depict an important part of their life. This workshop is for ages 16+ and will run on November 6, 2021, from 10:00-3:00 pm.
Instructor Jacy Warrick earned her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communications at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She also earned her Masters in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline College. Jacy’s passion is to bring education and art therapy opportunities to new spaces and share her love of art and people with others.
