KENTON — The Bucyrus Lady Redmen won their first tennis match of the season Tuesday, defeating the Kenton Wildcats, 3-2.
Bucyrus (1-3) got a win in second singles when Hannah Scott defeated Emma Mulligan, 6-2, 6-0.
The other two wins for the Lady Redmen came in doubles competition. Bucyrus’ Karmyn Blizzard and Claire Schifer bested Kenton’s Sam Lowe and Lilly Carmean, 6-1, 6-1, in first doubles. Addy Rister and Sierra Frost downed Angel Chen and Sara Horner, 6-1, 6-0.
The Wildcats two wins came in singles. Grace Collins held off Katie Kuhn in first singles, 7-6, 6-3, and Katie Sturgeon dropped Addy Young, 6-2, 6-2, in third singles.
Bucyrus returns to the court on Monday, hosting Galion.
