Pearl Lohr, 100, of New Albany and formerly of Galion, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021, at the New Albany Care Center.

Born June 24, 1920, in Galion, she was the daughter of Wilford A. and Verna (Yeiter) Baldinger. She married Gilbert L. Lohr on June 29, 1946, and preceded her on September 3, 1989.

She was a graduate of Galion High School in 1938. Pearl was a member of First Baptist Church in Galion, enjoyed Bible study, was an avid reader, and made chemotherapy caps and hats for underprivileged children.

She is survived by daughter, Jean (Leonard) Frey of New Albany, grandchildren, Jeffrey (Andrea) Entsminger of Worthington, Leonard (Rebecca) Frey, Jr. of Wilmington, Katrina (Donald) Wing of Obetz; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, and her four-legged companion, Toby.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Harold and Harry Baldinger.

The family would like to thank the staff of both New Albany Care Center and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, with Rev. Timothy Wingert officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
