Crestline Village Council announced that the village has put in place a new public notification system during their meeting Monday night.
Councilman Clayton Harold announced that the Crawford County Alerts system was in place in Crestline and available to businesses and individuals during the meeting. The service is free, and can send out weather alerts, power outages, interruption in water services, a break-in at a business, as well as other notifications.
Mayor David Sharrock noted that the system was already used when counterfeit bills had been used at businesses in Crestline.
