Joanne E. Pfirsch, 92 passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. Joanne was born January 13, 1929, in Indianapolis Indiana to the late Rev. Joseph and Teresa (Kern) Beal. She was married on August 8, 1970, to Robert J. Pfirsch who preceded her in death on September 21, 2005. She was also preceded in death by sister Ardis Marshall.
Joanne is survived by stepsons David (Helen) Pfirsch of Lakeside-Marblehead and Jim (Marijane) Pfirsch of Columbus; grandchildren Adam, Amy Muehlenbruch, Justin, and Robin Pfirsch all of Columbus, Ann Pfirsch of North Carolina, and Julie Vender of Pennsylvania; as well as one nephew Joe Simpson and great-niece Heather Simpson of Texas.
Joanne graduated from Osgood High School in Indiana. She moved to Bucyrus in 1946 and worked at the Second National Bank in Bucyrus and retired from the Key Bank. Joanne attended Banking School and became an officer at the Bank in Bucyrus. She moved from Bucyrus over 15 years ago with her husband to Lakeside-Marblehead.
Joanne was a former member of the Epworth United Methodist Church and more recently was a member of the Port Clinton Trinity United Methodist Church. Joanne enjoyed reading and especially reading the Bible.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Oakwood Cemetery, Bucyrus with Rev. Mike Corwin officiating.
