Monica Lee (Helms) Thornton, 39 passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, near Harrod OH as a result of an automobile accident. Monica was formerly of Bucyrus and had lived in the Ada, OH area for the past 4 years. She was born April 18, 1982, in Lawton, OK to Duane Helms of Ada and Rebecca (TenEyck) Reinbolt of McCutchenville, OH. In addition to her parents, she is survived by husband Thomas “Tommy” Thornton; stepfather John Reinbolt; daughters Adreana Estep of McCutchenville and Alexandria Bloomfield of Nevada, OH; brother Duane “Dulee” L. (Sarah) Helms Jr. of KY; sister Misty Fearing of NC; nieces and nephews Jonathon “Bobo”, her minions Adrian and Ethan, and Serenity; as well as aunts and uncles which include her very special friends Kaylene Evans and Tami Alspach.
Monica worked for the past 3 years at Tavern 101 in Ada. She graduated from Bucyrus High School and Pioneer in 2001. Monica enjoyed Mudding with her truck “Baby Legs Pulling Team” and spending time with her two dogs “Dixie” and “Dexter”.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 3:30 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, 215 N. Walnut St., Bucyrus with Rev. Mike Corwin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
