It’s long been said that growing cities encroach upon the natural habitat of wildlife. It would now appear as if the wildlife is encroaching back.
A Crestline Advocate story indicates a reliable source has reported the discovery of a coyote pup on a residential street in Crestline. Coyotes in Crawford County are nothing new, but the presence of a pup in the village could be an indication coyotes are moving into local cities.
Coyotes are considered a nuisance species and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources allows unlimited hunting of coyotes all year round.
More on this story is available in the latest edition of The Crestline Advocate.
