Florence Maud DeMarco, 97, of Galion passed away Friday, April 16, 2021, at home.

Born September 13, 1923, in Chippenham, Wiltshire, United Kingdom, she was the daughter of William and Anna Marie (Fortune) Hemmings. She married Walter A. DeMarco on April 19, 1945, and he preceded her in death on November 1, 1994.

She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Galion. Florence enjoyed knitting, sewing, drawing, and collecting dolls and stuffed pigs.

She is survived by children Flora Leigh Barker of Galion and Ouida (Ralph) Ritter of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Valerie Ritter, Veronica (Gary) Young, and Kenneth DeMarco and two great-grandchildren, Skylar and Zachary.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.

Following her wishes, there will be no funeral service.
