MARION —A Marion County Municipal Judge and his wife were sentenced to prison on Wednesday. Judge Jason Warner, 50, and his wife Julia Warner, 53, were taken into custody at the conclusion of the hearing.
Warner and his wife opted out of a jury trial and allowed their fate to be decided by retired County Common Pleas Court Judge Patricia Cosgrove.
Both Warner’s were charged with complicity by leaving the scene of an accident and complicity to tampering with evidence.
Cosgrove sentenced both the Warner’s to two years in prison. The Warner’s requested a report date for prison to get their affairs in order. Judge Cosgrove denied that request and ordered the couple taken into custody.
Warner will have his Judgeship revoked according to Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost.
