BUCYRUS —Two people were arrested and drugs were seized when Bucyrus Police officers assisted the Adult Probation Department early Wednesday morning at 2:30 a.m.

Acting on a tip of possible drug trafficking, officers encountered five possible suspects at the scene. Approximately one ounce of suspected methamphetamine, syringes, digital scales and other paraphernalia drug paraphernalia were seized.

According to a press release from the Bucyrus Police Department, Alexandria Cain, 22, was arrested on a probation violation and along with Timothy Adkins, 30, who was arrested on a felony Crawford County warrant at the Quality Inn, 1515 N. Sandusky Ave. Both were taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court and additional charges are pending. Three other people were released pending the outcome of the investigation.

“The combined, team efforts of BPD officers and Adult Probation culminated in more drugs being taken off our streets, said Lt. Tom Walker. “We are committed to community partnership, and truly appreciate the continued tips.”
