CRESTLINE—Crestline Police arrested one person and more arrests may be coming after an extensive drug investigation culminated in the search of a Crestline home on Friday.
Numerous citizen complaints led police to the residence where they served a search warrant with assistance by the Crawford County Special Response Team (SRT), the METRICH Regional Drug Task Force, the Galion, Bucyrus and Ontario Police Departments, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, and the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office.
Charles Samsel, 37, Crestline, was arrested and taken into custody without incident. Numerous items of evidentiary value were seized and according to Crestline Police Chief Jeff Shook, other individuals could be charged at a later date pending review by the Crawford County Prosecutors Office.

Sampsel is being held at the Crawford County Justice Center and is facing charges of drug trafficking, corrupting others with drugs and having weapons under disability.
“We are fortunate to have such valuable resources at our disposal when conducting such labor-intensive follow-ups and operations,” said Shook. “I am thankful to have the law enforcement partners we do here for the citizens of Crestline and neighboring communities.”
