6:01 a.m.-A report of a bag full of kittens put outside with garbage was investigated in the Fairview Avenue and Grant Street area. Thomas J. Sipes was issued a summons for cruelty to animals.

10:09 a.m.-A disturbance was investigated in the 700 block of Clay Street.

10:40 a.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 800 block of Carter Drive.

2:02 p.m.-Officers assisted EMS personnel in the 200 block of South Columbus Street.

4:47 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 500 block of East Walnut Street.

9:29 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 800 block of East Walnut Street.

9:58 p.m.-Charles T. Lewis Jr. was arrested in the 200 block of Harding Way West on a warrant during a traffic stop in which he was using stolen plates on the vehicle he was driving. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center and is facing charges of theft, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

1:28 p.m.-Officers assisted a person experiencing mental health issues.

3:32 p.m.-A sex offense was reported and is under investigation.

4:43 p.m.-Officers assisted the Mansfield Police Department in the Mansfield Street area by checking for a vehicle that had been involved in a shooting incident in Mansfield on Wednesday.

6:22 p.m.-A report of a stabbing and overdose in the 200 block of Libby Lane was investigated. Paul Combs was arrested on an assault charge.

9:35 p.m.-Officers assisted EMS personnel in the 100 block of Shady Lane.

9:50 p.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 300 block of Eighth Avenue.

9:50 p.m.-A report of an intoxicated person in the 600 block of South Market Street was investigated. The person was released to a sober friend.
