Children and adults are invited to “Willie’s Wild Roundup: Lassoing Values from the Parables of Jesus” Vacation Bible School starting Sunday, August 3 at the Bucyrus UMC Outreach Center, 216 Hopley Ave., sponsored by Your Bucyrus Neighborhood Churches.

VBS classes for children age 3 through grade 6 and adults of all ages are from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, August 3-7, with a break on Tuesday for National Night Out.

Faith Commander 1“Willie’s Wild Roundup” is part of the Faith Commander Bible study series written by Korie Robertson, of Duck Dynasty fame, and her mother, Chrys Howard. Join the Robertson Family as they tell stories and discuss five of Jesus’ most-loved parables and how to apply them to daily living.  With their trademark humor and commitment to faith in Jesus, the Robertson family challenges the children to live a new kind of life that includes the five values of: Redonkulous Faith, Radical Forgiveness, Ravenous Prayer, Real Obedience and Rowdy Kindness.

Children’s classes feature stories, songs by Missy Robertson, Bible verses, snacks, games and crafts.  The adult study, “Phil-osophers & Si-cologists,” is led by Pastor Mike Corwin.  Youth are welcome to join the adult study or assist with the younger students.

On Tuesday, August 5, the VBS moves outside for the National Night Out block party on Woodlawn Ave. between Walnut and Lane streets.

Your Bucyrus Neighborhood Churches sponsoring this VBS include: Bucyrus UMC, Church of God of Prophesy, Father’s Heart Healing Center, First Baptist Church, New Day Ministries and St. Paul Lutheran Church.
