Mary Lou Diebert, age 87 formerly of Nevada and Upper Sandusky, passed away January 28, 2021, at Edgewood Manor, Port Clinton. She was born on January 4, 1934, her parents Charles M. and Helen K. (Lanker) Beaston preceded her in death. Mary Lou married Richard H. Diebert on June 6, 1953, he also preceded her in death on April 27, 2007.
Surviving are her children Chuck Diebert, Columbus, Jerry (Jackie) Diebert, Fl., Kim (Robert) Riley, New Bloomington, Christina Hayes, Fl., Veronica (Brian) Stevens, Findlay, Tyler (Alyssa) Diebert, MI., along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her daughter Robbin Hoover preceded her in death along with her brothers B. “Gene” Beaston and James Beaston.
Mary Lou was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Upper Sandusky. She worked as a cook for Eden School and Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family especially her children. She had fond memories of watching them fish. Mary Lou also cared for her Pekinese dog.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at 10 am at Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky where Pastor Kenneth Wessler will be officiating.
