Joanne Patricia Schwam, 86, of Ontario and former Galion resident, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Crystal Care Center in Mansfield.
She was born September 7, 1934 in Mansfield, Ohio and was the daughter of Thomas P. and Helen (Raitch) Flood.
Joanne graduated from St. Peter’s High School in Mansfield. She worked at Westinghouse for many years and PPG in Crestline.
Joanne is survived by brothers Richard (Nancy) Flood of Edgewater, Maryland, Thomas P. (Brenda) Flood of Swansboro, North Carolina and John Flood of St. Petersburg, Florida; sister Marcian (Joe) Schalmo of Williston, South Carolina; sister-in-law Carol Flood of St. Petersburg, Florida; 20 nieces and nephews and special friends Teresa and Billy Wagner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Schwam, an infant son, Christopher and a brother James “Jim” Flood.
A private graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Galion, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
