Glorine L. Strickler, 95, of Galion passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020, at Avita Galion Hospital.
Born September 23, 1925, in Galion, she was the daughter of Robert Denny and Susan Grace (Hazen) Britton. She married Dwight K. Strickler on November 7, 1945, and he preceded her on March 15, 1990.
She attended Galion High School, where she was in the band, graduating in 1943. Glorine enjoyed fishing, OSU football, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was active with the Disabled American Veterans where she held many positions and a member of American Legion Scarbrough Post 243 Ladies Auxiliary. In her later years, she enjoyed being at the Galion Golden Age Center where she liked to play euchre. Glorine liked being with people and always had a story to tell.
She is survived by children Terry Strickler of Clarksville, Tennessee, Gary Strickler of Galion, Denny (Monica) Strickler of Galion, and Sherry (Larry) Keinath of Lucas; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sister Lois Yoha of Mansfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by grandson Lance Strickler; brothers Wayne, Bernard, and Carl, and sister Thelma.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday with Pastor Rick Maddox and Rev. Loyd Caudill officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
