BUCYRUS – The Bucyrus City Council held their Joint Committee Meeting online, Thursday, December 4, at 6:00 pm. President Kurt Fankhauser was absent, it was stated that Fankhauser would be late because of a Health Department meeting that began at 4:30 pm. Joe Leslie spoke from West Creek Conservancy for a project to rehab the Pines Reservoir area. The company specializes in rehabbing areas like the Pines Reservoir. Leslie explained that the plan for the company is for the protection of the 107 acres of land, and to restore the reservoir area. The restoration would include wetlands that are critical for a clean water supply to wells in the area. The Council turned down the project right now until more information is available. Allie Terrell was next to speak from Servline high water leak insurance, after hearing her response to questions and concerns, the council made the decision to go ahead with the partnership. Also to wrap up the meeting an amendment was made to the current city code, clarifying that all serviced by Bucyrus city water, pay the same amount for water whether they live in Bucyrus or outside of the city limit. The council then adjourned the Bucyrus City Council Joint Meeting at 7:19 pm.

The council then met for their make-up meeting for their Regular Council meeting, it was noted that Council President Fankhauser was not in attendance. The council voted on various appropriations. The meeting lasted for approximately 10 minutes ending the meeting at 7:32 pm.
