CRESTLINE—During the regular Crestline Village Council meeting Monday evening, Mayor Linda Horning Pitt said that an ad has been placed in the search for a new village administrator after John Rostash resigned unexpectedly two weeks ago.
“We have received some resumes already and will be interviewing for the position soon so we can get it filled,” said Horning Pitt.
She also said that with COVID cases numbers climbing throughout Crawford County, masks must be worn at the village hall.
Police Chief Jeff Shook said the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office has been hit hard by COVID-19.
“They asked if we can help out if needed with things, including dispatch,” said Shook.
He said his staff can help out if needed.
Council voted to approve the mayor’s appointment of Jason Bush as a full-time police officer for the village as an emergency and an ordinance to establish temporary appropriations for the village was held to a first reading.
The next regular meeting of the village council will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 7.
