BOWLING GREEN — Seneca East’s Jake Forehand shot 77 in the Division III Northwest District golf tournament to advance to the state tournament next week as an individual.

The Tigers as a team finished 10th with a team score of 351,which tied Woodmore, but the Wildcats won the tie breaker for ninth with the lower fifth player score.

In addition to Forehand’s 77, Seneca East got an 84 from Turner Bridgford, Andrew Kalb shot 88 and Kadin Snay finished with a 102. Forehand will play in the Division III state final on Oct. 16-17 at NorthStar Golf Club in Sunbury.

Buckeye Central shot a team score of 390. Logan Niese led the way for the Bucks with a 93, Tyler Rose came in at 95, Alex Kanney carded a 96 while Kaiden Vaughn and Casey Geissman each shot 106.

Mohawk totaled 409 strokes. Kael Margraf topped the Warriors with a 90. Reese Hannam was nest with a 101, Owen England had a 108 and Jace Margraf finished with a 110.

Grady Jackson of Bucyrus made it to the district tournament as an individual, shooting 95.
