MARION – A four-count indictment has been handed down against a Marion County judge and his wife after a crash that happened in June. A Marion County Grand jury handed down the four-count indictment for the accident that happened on June 4th of this year.
Judge Jason Warner fled the scene of the crash that happened around midnight on Somerlot Hoffman Road in Marion.
According to a crash report, they failed to yield while turning and hit another vehicle. The other vehicle then hit a utility pole.
The Marion Star is reporting that Judge Warner was the passenger in the vehicle that Julia was driving and that Julia reported to authorities about nine hours after the accident happened.
The indictment includes two charges of complicity to vehicular assault, one count of complicity of leaving the scene of an accident, and one count of tampering with evidence.
The couple is scheduled to be arraigned on September 15.
