Denise R. Watkins, 49, of Galion went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 20, 2020 at Shelby Pointe Care Center in Shelby, Ohio.
Born February 22, 1971 in Lincolnton, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Dennis Robinson and Ada (Love) Robinson of Maiden, N.C. She married Michael A. Watkins on July 16, 1994 and he survives.
She was a graduate of Bandys High School and was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Newton, N.C. where she sang in the church choir. She was artistic and enjoyed drawing, she also enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is also survived by her children, Cailyn Watkins, Aaron (Cherokee) Watkins and Evan Watkins all of Galion; grandchildren, Aaliyah, Charlee and Kendal; mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Joni (Douglas) Roberts of Mansfield; father-in-law, Michael Watkins of Galion and brother, Chris (Sonia Bell) Robinson of Maiden, N.C.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son Jake Watkins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Friendship United Methodist Church in Newton, N.C. and burial will be at the Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery in Newton, N.C.
