CRAWFORD COUNTY — The 2020 Census efforts have been extended due to COVID-19, creating additional time for community members in Crawford County to respond. The Census, completed once every ten years, is essential to get funding for housing assistance for older adults, schools, roads, and various programs.

Funds are distributed by information collected in the Census. While individual information is kept confidential, the responses are combined to create a total count for our area. In 2010 had just 2% more Crawford County citizens completed the Census, that would have been approximately $4.5 million more dollars into Crawford County.

New this year is a live, interactive map to view response rates by city, county, tract, and more.  Crawford County’s overall response rate is 67.9%, compared to 70% for the 2010 Census.
