Rev. Harley F. Duncan age 98 of Upper Sandusky, died at his residence on Wed. July 1, 2020.
He was born Apr. 1, 1922 in Hatfield, AR to the late Luther H. and Opal (Felts) Duncan. Rev. Duncan married Mary Linda Jeffries on Aug. 14, 1951 in Charlotte, NC. She preceded him in death on Jan. 29, 2007. He is survived by daughters Linda (Larry) Pusey, ID, Lois Duncan, Upper Sandusky, Esther (Rick) Toland, Upper Sandusky, Sarah (John) Mulvany, Grove City, Christie (Jim) Abendroth, Gahanna, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
He had a Master’s degree from the Nazarene Theological Seminary. He and his wife pastored many Nazarene churches including Fayetteville, NC, Topeka-Auburndale, KS, Mound City, MO, Dresden, OH, South Point, OH, Coal Grove, OH, Elyria, OH, Columbus, OH and retired from Ridge Chapel Church of the Nazarene, Carey, OH. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, especially sharing his produce with the community. His soft spoken voice and humble demeanor brought comfort to many people.
Visitation will be held on Tues. July 7, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at Bringman Clark Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Wed. July 8, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Ridge Chapel Church of the Nazarene, Carey. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E.
