GALIONꟷTwo people were issued citations when Galion Police investigated two separate accidents that both occurred at 5:02 p.m. on Wednesday.

One of the crashes occurred in the Hosford Road area and Christopher J. Amick was issued a citation for failure to yield. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Ronk’s Auto Service.

In the other crash, Paul Timlin was issued a citation for a stop sign violation after a two-vehicle crash in the 300 block of South Market Street.

No injuries were reported from either accident.

7:27 a.m.-A welfare check was conducted the 600 block of Westwood Avenue.

10:29 a.m.-A neighborhood dispute was reported in the 300 block of Oak Street.

11:02 a.m.-Officers helped a homeless person secure temporary housing.

1:22 p.m.-A hit-skip accident was investigated in the 400 block of Libby Lane. A parked truck was hit by possibly a silver vehicle with temporary tags.

4:15 p.m.-A report of a suspicious person messing with a gate at the firing range at Amick’s Reservoir was investigated.

4:37 p.m.-A report of a downed tree branch in the road from the storm in the Park Avenue area was investigated and the city street department was contacted.

4:39 p.m.-A report of a person riding a dirt bike in the street in the 200 block of South Union Street was investigated. The rider was warned for riding in the street.

6:22 p.m.-A downed tree was reported blocking the roadway in the 200 block of South Union Street. The Line Department was advised of the situation and cones were placed in the area to warn motorists.

6:30 p.m.-Officers investigated several reports of downed lines and trees throughout the city due to a storm that had passed through.

7:51 p.m.-A report of a person riding a dirt bike in the street in the 900 block of Allen Street was investigated and the rider was warned to stay off the roadway.

9:07 p.m.-An Eighth Avenue resident reported the theft of a cell phone and their home trashed by someone they know.

11:02 p.m.-A report of two suspicious people in the 300 block of South Market Street was investigated.

11:11 p.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 300 block of North Market Street. Michael Mullins was arrested for domestic violence.
