After 18 hours of sharing memories and encouragement, the 2014 Crawford County Relay for Life came to a close Saturday morning at the Wynford Athletic Complex.

Helping in the fight to overcome a disease that never sleeps the 2014 local Relay raised an estimated $90,000 for cancer research.

New teams “Cats for a Cure,” “Dream Dealer,” and “Crall’s Crushing Cancer” participated in the 2014 Crawford County Relay for Life.

“I enjoyed the luminary service just because that touched my heart in some way,” said Danielle Weisenauer who served as this year’s co-chair for the local Relay. “I also enjoy having fun out on the track with everyone, whether it is playing the games and acting like a kid again with the younger generation, or just walking around and talking with other committee members.”
