William R. “Bill” Rhinehart, 86, of Leesville passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at home after an extended illness.
He was born August 31, 1933 in Galion and was the son of Wilbur and Florence (Flick) Rhinehart. Bill is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty (Davis) Rhinehart whom he married on December 2, 1982.
Bill graduated from Galion High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked in Maintenance at the former Crestline Hospital and retired after many years. Bill was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed guns, fishing, trap shooting and mowing grass around his house.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Rick (Linda) Rhinehart of Leesville, Kelly (Jason) Wilson of Florida, John (Shelly) Patrick of Crestline and Loretta (Don) Hobbs of Michigan; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Dick (Phyllis) Rhinehart of Colorado; two sisters-in-law, Chicky Tinch of Galion and Ruth Johnston of Crestline and his dog, Buster.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter Debra Lawson and an infant daughter.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2020 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, May 11 with Rev. Paul Walter officiating.
