NORTH ROBINSON — Despite spring sports being put on hold, the Colonel Crawford Athletic Boosters still are working hard to provide for the school’s athletes, which includes hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year.

The 19th Annual Corvette Raffle is set for the afternoon of April 18. The event will include the grand prize of a 1966 big block non-original engine Corvette or $40,000.

One change will be the cancellation of the booster club’s reverse raffle. Mark Teynor, a volunteer with the event, said it is unknown if the reverse raffle will be rescheduled this year.

Without the reverse raffle, fundraising losses for the year are expected to be substantial but the public may still support the club by purchasing Corvette tickets, one for $25 or five for $100.

The club intends to allow the public to attend the event at the Colonel Crawford High School softball field, but like many area churches, those who attend will me mandated to remain in their vehicles during the entire drawing.

“We want to find a way to allow people to attend who want to,” Teynor said.

A video of the drawing will be posted to social media after the winners are contacted.

Anyone interested in buying tickets may call 419-569-9312 or 419-569-5778.
