BUCYRUS―Bucyrus Police investigated a non-fatal overdose over the weekend.

At 4:13  p.m. on Sunday, officers assisted EMS personnel in the 800 block of Elm Street at the scene. The person was taken to Bucyrus Community Hospital for treatment.

10:52 a.m.-Officers made a welfare check in the 400 block of Gay Street.

1:43  p.m.-Officers investigated a report of possible child abuse in that 500 block of East Charles Street.

4:20  p.m.- Officers investigated a juvenile complaint in the 1600 block of Marion Road.

5:44  p.m.-A disturbance was investigated in the 700 block of Wilbur Street. People were supposed to retrieve a freezer that was no longer at the property. Officers stood by while they retrieved their property.

6:55 p.m.-Officers investigated a 911 hang-up call in the 200 block of Dudley Street. It was a misdial possibly with a child.

8:25 p.m.-Officers took a report of theft in the Waterford Glen area. A Honda CRV with a trailer reportedly took 20 feet of fence off the complainant’s property.

8:59 p.m.-Officers checked the 500 block of South Sandusky Avenue for a suspicious vehicle. It was unfounded.

9:52 p.m.-Officers assisted the Bucyrus Fire Department in the 1300 block of Monnett Street. A citation was issued for illegal burning of trash.

11:28 p.m.-Officers checked the 1300 block of Grandview Drive for a suspicious person.

1:59 a.m.-A resident in the 900 block of Monnet Street reported an unknown person rang a doorbell and walked away.

2:38 a.m.-A report of a suspicious person in the 100 block of West Irving Street who knocked on a door was investigated. The person left the area.

9:18 a.m.-Officers spoke to a woman in the 200 block of West Rensselaer Street about someone being in her house that was unwanted.

9:29 a.m.-A parking complaint in the 600 block of Link Drive was investigated. The vehicle was moved.

10:39 a.m.-A report of a disturbance with a customer at Walmart was investigated. A patron was involved in a dispute about alleged shoplifting.

11:30 a.m.-Officers towed a vehicle from Bucyrus Plaza that was blocking other vehicles.

12:38 p.m.-Officers checked the 1700 block of Isaac Beal Road after a report of a four-wheeler in the area.

1:03 p.m.-Officers spoke to a man and a woman about a disturbance in the 900 block of Marion Road. The people both claimed verbal harassment while fueling vehicles.

5:02 p.m.-Officers picked up a lost purse found in the 1300 block of S. Sandusky Ave.

5:50 p.m.-Officers attempted to make a welfare check in the 200 block of West Warren Street. Family members were able to reach the person before the officers arrived.

6:51  p.m.-Officers checked the area of West Warren Street for a reported suspicious person. A man wearing black pants and a red shirt carrying a duffle bag reportedly was struggling to walk. The person was reported leaving the area as a passenger in a red car.

6:57  p.m.-Officers spoke with a person about possible larceny by misuse of a credit card by someone known to them.

7:04  p.m.-Officers investigated a report of child abuse in the 500 block of South Poplar Street.

9:15  p.m.-Officers investigated a disturbance in the 500 block of Prospect Street. People discharging fireworks were located in the 500 block of South East Street and ceased the activity.

9:47  p.m.-Officers investigated a disturbance in the 800 block of South Sandusky Avenue. A report of a possible gunshot was received.

9:51 p.m.-Officers investigated a loud music complaint in the 400 block of Dudley Street. The noise complaint was unfounded.

4:51 a.m.-Officers responded to a disturbance in the 300 block of West Warren Street. It was a verbal dispute between two men and a woman apparently regarding a protection order. The men left the area.

11:27 a.m.-Officers assisted EMS personnel in the 400 block of Myers Street.

11:54 a.m.-Officers spoke to a resident in the 500 block of Garnet Court about a dog running loose. The dog was taken inside.

2:28 p.m.-A report of a missing license plate was taken from the 300 block of Short Street. It turned out the tag was taken off the vehicle by a family member.

2:46  p.m.-Officers investigated a report of a domestic dispute in the 1100 block of Maple Street.

3:48  p.m.-Officers investigated a disturbance in the area of Sherman and Irving Streets. People made verbal threats towards one another and dispersed from the area.

4:41  p.m.-Officers investigated a disturbance in the 300 block of West Warren Street in which a person was raising a ruckus on the street.

5:20  p.m.-Officers took a report of an ATV in the street in the 400 blk of West Mansfield Street.

1:31 a.m.-A report of a disturbance in the 300 block of West Warren Street was unfounded.
